I am very glad I was given the opportunity to read and review Karli Perrin’s latest novel, April Fools. I was also sent a copy of it’s predecessor, April Showers, to allow me full access to Ms. Perrin’s story of April in it’s entirety. I will tell you, in my opinion, reading April Showers is necessary and April Fools would not make a good stand-alone story.
April Fools is the obvious conclusion to April’s story. It is well written, but was a bit predictable to me. Ms. Perrin took the time to develop strong and interesting characters in April, Isaac and Lukas and several loveable secondary characters in Brody and Lucy. I enjoyed reading about them, getting immersed in their lives and loosing myself for a time in these two books. I wish there had been more suspense in April Fools and that it had been longer.
I am looking forward to reading The Gift by Karli and hoping she will give us a future of great writing! I give April Fools by Karli Perrin a great recommendation and four gold stars!

She is a big believer of fate and is a sucker for a happy ending. She honestly believes that there is a reason why you are reading this right now (apart from the fact that you are awesome!)
Her ultimate goal in life is to live in a house made entirely out of books with her best friend, who also happens to be her fiancé.
…Hogwarts is plan B.
