by Firi Kamson

Genre: Adult, Women’s Fiction

Published: March 27, 2016

Set in the south east of Nigeria, 223 Bonny Street is a story about surviving loss, finding your identity and making connections.

After an accident, waking up in another person’s body seems like a dream until Ikenna realizes that he is faced with the stark reality of Nkechi’s life, the woman whose body he occupies. He experiences the pain and joy, strength and sacrifices of a woman.

The two of them make a connection beyond the physical, but matters of the heart are delicate. When secrets from the past are revealed, will their connection be strong enough to survive?

223 Bonny Street Excerpt © Firi Kamson 2016

“Nkechi! Why did you scare us like that? I have told you, you have to be strong”, the frail looking old woman, who had helped him get up, spoke.

Looking at her again, he tried to remember who she was. “Okay ma”, he replied, whilst still struggling to get to grips with the whole situation. Swallowing his question, sensing that this old lady wasn’t to be questioned by anybody, he remained puzzled.

Looking at the chair he was sitting on, he realised this wasn’t his favorite army green reclining chair, where he sat in the evenings watching football, with strict house rules that nobody else was allowed to sit on his chair, not even the president. Turning to his left, he saw a group of men, who looked like they were in their mid forties or early fifties, and what struck him was that they were all wearing black, and they looked his way, speaking amongst themselves.

“Please, what are these men doing”, he asked the young lady who was standing by his side.

Looking at him rather strangely. “They are discussing the burial preparation of Godwin”, she whispered.

“Who is Godwin?” he asked, as he watched the blood drain from her face.

Whispering something he couldn’t hear to the old frail looking lady, she turned to him. Taking his hands in hers. “Come with me”, she ordered.

Still not settled after what had happened to him, Ikenna obliged. Allowing himself to be dragged as they walked into a dark room, she switched on the light and  shoved him in front of the big standing mirror.

“Look at yourself properly in the mirror, before you ask me that rubbish question again, about Godwin”.

The moment Ikenna looked at the mirror he knew that he must have become mentally deranged. What he was looking at was the face and body of a woman. A woman, who had aged overnight, even though she was relatively young. She was of average height, had a round face, full bosom, but the bottom line was that he was a woman and was pregnant. Turning around, as he looked at the lady, he muttered, “Who is this? Is this a joke?” Glancing at the mirror again, he touched his skin.

Firi Kamson was born in Nigeria, where she grew up. Becoming a lawyer, a writer and a pilot was her childhood dream, she dropped the lawyer part and got a B.A. in foreign languages and literature specialty French. Worked as a freelance translator and a photographer for a couple of years before she decided to explore the creative world of writing. She writes a column for www.sabinews.com, as Tee, an online Nigerian based magazine, where she journals her experiences in South East Asia. The dream of becoming a pilot is still there and who knows one day it would be fulfilled. She lives in South East Asia with her nerdy husband and very active daughter and son. Ere’s Secret is her first work.

THE VOICES OF ANGELS

by Peggy Jaeger

The MacQuire Women Series, Book 4

Official genre of book: Contemporary romance

About the Book

Love is the last thing Carly Lennox is looking for when she sets out on her new book tour. The independent, widowed author is content with a life spent writing and in raising her daughter. When newscaster Mike Woodard suggests they work on a television magazine profile based on her book, Carly’s thrilled, but guarded. His obvious desire to turn their relationship into something other than just a working one is more than she bargained for.

Mike Woodard is ambitious, and not only in his chosen profession. He wants Carly, maybe more than he’s ever wanted anything or anyone else. As he tells her, he’s a patient man. But the more they’re together, Mike realizes it isn’t simply desire beating within him. Carly Lennox is the missing piece in his life. Getting her to accept it-and him-may just be the toughest assignment he’s ever taken on.

Excerpt

“Your pulse is racing.”

Carly swallowed. “It always does when I’m hungry. Hypoglycemia or…something.”

One corner of Mike’s mouth drifted up. “Liar.”

Before she could respond, his mouth came down on hers, taking it captive, driving her insane.
Her head careened backward to allow him full access into her soul. Letting go of her wrist, he spanned her waist with both hands.

“Why were you blushing?” he asked, never completely moving free from the kiss.

“I, I’m hot. It’s hot in here.”

Mike’s hands roamed down over the back of her jeans to cup her butt. She gasped when he began kneading the flesh through her pants.

“You’re a liar, Carly, and we both know it.”

“You keep saying that,” she murmured as his tongue skimmed across her top lip. “It’s insulting. Oh.”

Mike pushed her from behind, molding the length of her body to his. Through the fabric of their clothes, she felt his unmistakable arousal and her entire body trembled with excitement. With each thrust of his tongue inside her mouth, another drop of her control slipped away.

“Deny you feel something right now,” Mike whispered into her ear, his warm breath robbing her of all sentient thought. “Or when I do this,” he added, sliding down the curve of her neck. “Go ahead and deny it and tell me you’re not lying.”

For a few seconds, Gloria stood still staring at the door, her father’s slumped shoulders and laden footsteps as he left replaying in her mind over and over.

Her chin trembled and she stared down to her empty hands feeling a little lost. What was going on? When she’d left home today, she’d thought she’d be escorting her dad to the meeting for moral support. She hadn’t known she wouldn’t be going back home with him.

“Will you need anything else?” James appeared at the door.

She blinked and turned around so he couldn’t see the tears in her eyes.

“No. That will be all for now. Thanks, James,” Henry said in a deep calm voice that settled over her like a warm blanket.

She’d momentarily forgotten he was still in the room as he hadn’t said anything when her father had made the speech about making him pay if anything bad happened to her.

The quiet click of the door announced that James had departed and it was now the two of them alone in the office.

The space wasn’t as massive as Ike’s office, but it was large enough. The furniture pieces were designed for functionality rather than aesthetics, and they matched the personality of the man who worked here.

Henry had gone quiet again. He had to be watching her because the hairs on the back of her neck stood erect. She sucked in a deep breath to ease the tension that had returned to her shoulders. Chin tilted up and shoulders squared, she turned to face him.

He sat back on the sofa, ankle crossed over the other knee, left hand on the padded arm of the seater and right fingers stroking the soft leather cushion beside him.

For one moment, her gaze tracked the slow, caressing movements of his hand and she imagined it was her bare skin. Her nipples pebbled and warmth spread across her body.

“Gloria, come and sit down. We need to talk.”

His words roused her from her daydream. She looked up at his face. His lips curled in a lopsided smirk, his head cocked.

Her nose flared. She raised her chin as she swallowed the lump in her throat.

“Yes, we need to talk. But I’m not sitting down until I know exactly what’s going on.”

He didn’t move, his intent gaze unwavering. “I thought your father explained everything to you. You now belong to me.”

A shiver travelled down her spine at the rough edge to his words.

“Belong to you?” She laughed derisively. “We’re not married yet. I don’t belong to you or anyone else.”

He brushed lint off his jacket leisurely before undoing the buttons and slipping it off his body. The white-blue hairline stripe shirt fit his body like a glove and the navy blue herringbone silk tie matched his suit. Square silver cufflinks glinted as he lifted the champagne bottle out of the bucket with a napkin.

“We’re not getting married,” he said as he gently pushed the cork from the bottle.

She reared back.

“We’re not? Isn’t that what this whole deal is about?” She waved her hand around in the air.

He didn’t look up at her but continued working the cork. Slowly. Deliberately.

“I don’t know anywhere in the world where a man has to pay a hundred million dollars to marry a wife. If I’d wanted a marriage, I would’ve done it for a whole lot less and certainly to a woman who doesn’t hate my guts.”

He was definitely right about the fact that she hated his guts. But her mind was stuck on the amount.

“You paid a hundred million dollars?”

“Yes,” he said as the cork popped.

She flinched and froze as the realisation hit her. “You bought me.”

“That’s right, Princess. I own every piece of you—lock, stock, and designer hair.” He winked at her as he poured the bubbly drink into the crystal flutes.

Voices Carry Promo Tour @DianeRinella @MoBPromos

VOICES CARRY

Part of The Rock and Roll Fantasy Collection

BY USA Today Bestselling Author Diane Rinella

GENRE: Contemporary Romance

An incredible romance involving a man, the music he craves, and the voice that haunts him.

Rock and roll turns Brandon Wayne into a juvenile delinquent in all the best ways—crazed, ambitious, and with a slip of danger nagging at his hips. His marketing job at Endeara Candies and hunting down classic vinyl nirvana at Warped Records make his world seem ordinary, but there is another side to his life.

As an anniversary of tragedy approaches, odd occurrences riddle Brandon’s mind with questions. Whose voice is suddenly materializing in his head? Is he fabricating a psychic who looks like one of his favorite rock stars? Why is he having retro dreams involving welded beer cans, disco, and a punk rock girl? The puzzle seems never ending.

Have the musty fumes at Warped Records and the terrible candy at work rotted Brandon’s brain? Has he crossed into the realm of insanity? Or is the reason for the madness beyond his comprehension?

The ambient noise from Dale’s end of the line disappears. I lean back, put my feet up, and close my eyes.

Hold music creeps in. Warrant’s “Cherry Pie”? That’s an odd choice. My foot starts pounding out the rhythm of the bass drum. The song becomes an anthem, beating itself into my head and making me rally behind it. This is totally gonna be stuck in my head all day.

“So far, today has been promising.”

No!

I bolt up in my chair, gripping its arms with white knuckles while my heart tries to gallop out of my chest. That voice came over the phone! It wasn’t any voice either! My words sprint out, cracking as they go. “Dale, you there? Who’s with you?”

Ambient noise returns, followed by Dale’s voice, “Hold on another sec.” I’m definitely not on hold now, yet I still hear Warrant. This is exactly what happened in the car two days ago with Mötley Crüe.

“Anyway,” Dale says, “I was thinking maybe …”

“Sometimes this job can be so boring.”

My lungs struggle for air. There she is again, and she sounds as clear and loud as Dale does. I’m tempted to throw down the phone and run, but all I can do is sit here, frozen and gripping the chair.

Haze begins to coat my inner vision. Pixels form and merge. At first the image is black with a smattering of light peering through, and then browns and creams work their way in, leading to full color, yet it is all buried under fog. My jaw clenches. What the hell is going on?

The haze clears, and although my heart won’t stop racing, something tells me I am safe, regardless of how I have a hard time believing it.

The image before me is of a female arm reaching toward a coffee table and a copy of Neon Angel, the autobiography of Cherie Currie of The Runaways. Next to it is a stereo with an iPod attached. Is that where Warrant is coming from?

“I find myself waiting around, wasting so much time. At least I’m becoming well read.” She chuckles. “If you can call this well read. At least I finally have a chance to look into some of the things that interest me.”

Dale’s voice slips in. “I think I’m headed to great places.”

Everything sounds jumbled to the point where I’m not sure who said what. I don’t want to risk disturbing the vision by asking Dale to stop talking. I also fear that if I speak, I’m so far over the edge my voice won’t work.

The view slips to a dark brown carpet, and although I am still gripping my chair, I seem to be walking; yet I can’t tell where. All I catch are glimpses of what I’m pretty sure are pictures hanging on the wall of a fairly small space. Is this a trailer?

We pass through a door and the music fades, but the sound of heels clicking on tile echo into the mix. The acoustics also change, and I catch sight of a bathroom sink.

“Anyway, I need to head off. We’re getting ready to …”

Was that Dale? I’m not sure anymore.

Sweat builds on my brow as my view turns to a mirror. My ability to breathe is strained when I see the woman wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a design I can’t make out. Her skin is fair and freckled. Her eyes seem hazel or maybe brown. I can’t tell the color of her clipped-up hair, but it seems dark red. Who is this woman whose voice keeps infiltrating my mind? And why am I suddenly seeing through her eyes? It’s almost as if I am her, yet I know I am not.

I’m not, right?

No. I’m Brandon Wayne. I’m sitting at work in Los Angeles, California. I’m thirty-one years old. I’m on the phone with Dale who is in Canada.

I force my view downward and see what I know is real—my hands gripping my chair.

“Yo! Brandon, you there?”

I think Diane and I are kindred spirits because her books touch my life in ways I cannot explain. I am many years older than her, and yet she hits my soul with her writing. I cannot say enough about her books. She is an incredible writer. I cannot wait for the next one and I can’t put them down when they come. ~ By Iolanthesf on February 14, 2016 (Verified Purchase)

I enjoyed this book. The author has so many unique writing styles that make her stories jump of the page. She has crafted, in this book, a finely intertwined bit of interaction between the two lead characters and also managed to tie in her other books in the Rock and Roll Fantasy.

This story introduces Brandon Wayne. He is a marketing person for Endeara Candies and in his spare time-which becomes almost fulltime-tracks down vinyl records. But his life becomes troubled when he thinks he is hearing voices? Is he going crazy. Does it have anything to do with the terrible accident where he lost his love? His co-worked is very concerned about him and gets caught up in the voices.

There are well thought out twists that causes the leader to wonder how Brandon can figure this all out. Since I am anti-spoilers, I highly recommend you read this story and become immersed in the “voices”. ~ By Brian P. Lane on January 12, 2016 (Verified Purchase)

Voices Carry is a standalone novel that takes place in the Rock and Roll Fantasy universe, alongside It’s A Marshmallow World, Scary Modsters … and Creepy Freaks, Queen Midas In Reverse, and the upcoming Moonlight Serenade.

Enjoying San Francisco as a backdrop, the ghosts in USA Today Bestselling Author Diane Rinella’s one hundred and fifty-year old Victorian home augment the chorus in her head. With insomnia as their catalyst, these voices have become multifarious characters that haunt her well into the sun’s crowning hours, refusing to let go until they have manipulated her into succumbing to their whims. Her experiences as an actress, business owner, artisan cake designer, software project manager, Internet radio disc jockey, vintage rock ‘n’ roll journalist/fan girl, and lover of dark and quirky personalities influence her idiosyncratic writing.

“I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m Lani Lynn Vale’s #1 fan. I love her work, I’ve read all of it, and a lot of it I’ve read more than once. I’m thrilled with the direction she’s going in with the Uncertain Saints MC series. There is a clear and distinct difference to Vale’s writing here. Her voice is a bit edgier in Whiskey Neat, and it absolutely had me sitting up to take notice.” ~Danielle from Red Cheeks Reads

“Whiskey Neat is a great start to her new series, with feisty heroines and hotter hero’s. I can’t wait for the next in this series” ~Erica from A One-Click Addict’s Book Blog

“Come on, Doogan,” I urged, giving his collar a tug.
Doogan didn’t budge, which was why I had a front row seat as a man sailed over the railing of Mr. Marshall’s porch, and landed about ten feet away from where I was standing.
“Oh, my God,” I breathed.
I didn’t move, though, because the man was suddenly surrounded.
Men in leather were everywhere…but the one man that held my attention was stomping down the porch steps and heading straight to the man on the ground.
Griffin, the man who’d bought batteries from me just two days ago, was well and truly pissed.
When his eyes swung to me, I didn’t know what to do.
Should I run?
Stay where I was?
Question after question barreled through my mind, leaving me shaking in fear…and something else I wasn’t ready to admit to just yet.
“Go home,” he ordered.
I blinked, looking to my left and right to be sure he was talking to me.
Since I didn’t see anyone else around me, I decided he was talking to me, but I just couldn’t get my legs to cooperate out of fear.
Not to mention that I would have to walk through the lot of them to get to my house.
When I didn’t move fast enough, he issued the order again, only this time it was biting.
“Go. Home,” he snapped.
I turned on my heel and started walking, coming to a sudden stop when Doogan still refused to move.
“Mother of God,” I whispered.  “Come on Doog,” I whispered frantically.  “Let’s go.”
He did move, just not in the correct direction.
No, he walked straight up to Griffin and licked his hand, a hand that was stuck out, not in invitation to approach, but instead to stop the dog from getting too close to him.
“Can’t you control your fuckin’ dog?” He grated out angrily.
Tears were stinging my eyes, because, by that point, I had the attention of not just Griffin, but the whole freakin’ lot of them.
My heart was beating frantically in my chest as they watched me, and I just knew that if I didn’t get the hell out of there I’d get the hell beaten out of me…or worse.
“Where do you live?”  Griffin asked, taking a hold of Doogan’s leash.
It slipped from my hands, and I watched in helpless horror as it did.
And what did Doogan do?
He freakin’ followed him!
“Umm,” I whispered.  “Three duplexes down from here.”
“Be back,” Griffin said as he took my hand in his free one and started to walk me back to my house.
The men returned their stares on the man they were circling, and I glanced over my shoulder just in time to see one of the big ones kick the poor guy on the ground next to his feet.
He didn’t say a word, and neither did I.
I was too scared.
What if he beat the shit out of me?
Raped me?
What if…
“I’m not going to hurt you,” Griffin growled, interrupting my inner diatribe.
“I know,” I lied.
He snorted.  “Stop shaking.  I said I wouldn’t harm you.  I’m a cop.”
Yeah, but good cops didn’t beat the shit out of people in the dark of night.

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.

Triangle of Hope Promo Blitz @MoBPromos

Genre: Contemporary fiction/literary fiction

Feel-good contemporary fiction. Change is in the air.
Who knew that a chance encounter would change their lives, and the lives around them, forever? Three unlikely allies come together to take a selfless, courageous stand, and their world will never again be the same.
Clint Westerly has it all; that is, until he makes a fateful decision that turns his life upside down.
Tanya Wilshire has sheer determination to fulfill her mother’s dying wish, although she seemingly has now lost the means to do so.
Seamus Harrington, eighty-four years of age, is determined to right an old wrong before it is too late, even though the odds are heavily stacked against him.
If you love feel-good reads with happy endings, then don’t miss TRIANGLE OF HOPE, where “Meyer was masterful in weaving the story lines of the three main characters into a conclusion which was exactly what the title suggests…a Triangle of Hope.” (Jon Colson)
“A book that will stay with you forever.” (Wanda Hartzenberg)
His impending death hung in the air like thick smog, smothering everything in its path, obscuring a parade of ups and downs, the unevenness of thrills and chills that defined his life’s existence. It was eerie and scary, but also rather comforting, much like being in a warm bed on a cold night, like shivering while being filled with excitement at what was going to happen next. The news could very easily have been broadcast to those of his past and present, but he had made certain that all the speakers had been turned to mute. He had made the firm decision to meet his destiny without any chance of intervention by anyone. He was all alone in this, his final act.

STRIFE OF THE MIGHTY

AUTHOR: Julius Bailey
GENRE: Epic Fantasy

A HUSBAND. A LIQUOR LOVER. A STRANGER. THE DIREST ADVENTURE OF THEIR CENTURY.

For over fifteen hundred years the kingdom of Vrandalin has withstood the might of the one enemy they had need to fear. Now a new threat arises. In the southeastern part of the land, a grim-looking newcomer arrives in the village of Varalel, bringing with him a warning of imminent ruin. Shortly afterward, Varalel is stormed, its folk scattered, and one man is separated from the woman he loves.

Little else matters to Allon Bracken than reuniting with his wife. With nowhere else to turn, he must place his faith in a gruff, mysterious man he knows little of, and an unexpected comrade. But his road is a hard one, and will lead him into dangers and discoveries that will change everything.

It is likely safe to assume that the silver-haired man did not expect events to take such a swift turn when he hasted to Varalel with his warning. But there is no time to curse ill fate. Extenuating circumstances compel him to share Allon’s road—unless it is the other way around—but he quickly finds himself with another goal: the capital must be warned. An army out of legend stamps through the land, goaded by an age-old enchantress with designs of destruction. Time is short. But he must look to himself as well, for a hunted man is rarely at rest, and the terrible creatures that pursue him do not sleep.

And for a former traveling trinket seller deemed village ‘softhead’ by his peers, things are suddenly very horrible indeed. Or are they? It seems that chaos brings folk together. Joined to Allon’s path by an inner impulse, he discovers a companionship he did not expect to find. He will need it.

Enter Vrandalin; a land where ancient powers stir, dark beasts prowl, forgotten lore returns, and those who are thought weak discover their strength.
Brandegan quickened his run. Ahead of him the lights had begun to recede, melting into the night like wraiths. There were no more shouts either. All around silence again crept forward. Just before he could reach them, the last of the fires vanished. Brandegan was just about to dash after them, but something halted him. The heavy forestry round about was still, too still. Brandegan became aware of an intense watchfulness, and as he listened, a shroud of dread descended upon him.
Suddenly he felt, rather than saw, a shadow shift beside him. Next moment, he was hurled forward, heaved from the earth as though he was weightless, and tossed like a wind-blasted reed. Hardly had he struck the ground when a dark weight fell on him, crushing him down. He heard a snarl, and then four enormous claws, sharp as blades, raked his side. He fought back, lashing out with Rithlir, but a great, hirsute paw gripped his arm and, with a massive strength, pinned it to the ground.
Then Brandegan saw the eyes. Hovering just before his face, they shone as red fire, feeding the darkness with their terror and harboring within them the insatiable spirit of the Dread Palace. Even as they gazed down on their prey, the malice behind those eyes was kindled to sudden wrath, for here at last was their scourge, here at last was the thorn long sought.
But just before teeth as deadly as the edge of Rithlir found their mark, there was a dazzling flash. Shadows leapt up and fled, the darkness was pushed back, and in that moment Brandegan’s adversary was revealed. Greater in stature than any beast of the wild stood Daugruil. As other Gragmarr, his forelegs loomed up, broad and strong. His back, arching downward near his hind-legs, was covered in coarse, crimson fur, and his great muzzle was lined with dagger-edged teeth. Now he stumbled backward, thwarted from his intent by the blinding, silver flare.
Brandegan leapt to his feet as soon as the weight was lifted. His side throbbed in agony, and blood had already soaked through his raiment. But he heeded it not. The insatiable spirit of malice that burned in the eyes of this Gragmarr he knew.
✯✯✯✯✯There’s a long historical background to the world of this book, full of names I can’t pronounce and creatures I’ve never imagined before. The landscape changes as the characters take their journey. Cultures and characters change from place to place, and magic is everywhere. A fascinating read! The pace is steady, though there were times (during battles, mostly) when I couldn’t put this book down without feeling unsatisfied. The highlights of this novel, for me, were the instances where the characters are able to interact without speaking, the parts that made me laugh (thank you Merch!).
My favorite character is Merch. His strength is born of love for his friends, which I admire. Allon is another favorite, mostly because of his appreciation & love for his wife.
PS. I purchased two copies as gifts and Amazon let me download the Kindle version for free because of that. Pretty sweet perk! Thanks, Amazon. =) (I don’t know if 2 copies is the minimum for this deal). By Sarah on March 25, 2015 Verified Purchase

✯✯✯✯✯Strife of the Mighty: Book One of the Chronicles of Vrandalin has everything I expect from a traditionally styled epic fantasy. The story features dark beasts chasing the heroes, swords that may just be a bit magical, a journey fraught with danger, a little love, a little tragedy, and, of course, an epic battle to top it all off.
I love the pairing of two regular guys with the mysterious traveler. It’s always fun for me to follow the perspective of the unlikely hero, or heroes in this case. Allon and Merch were great, and Brandegan is the epitome of the timeless wizard or epic warrior, reminding me strongly of favorite characters from other fantasies I adore. Then again, I kept picturing them as hobbits tagging along after a ranger, though I think that was from more of a vibe than any particular feature.
The pacing of this story was great, fast when it needed to be fast, and slower when it needed to be slower. I thought the fights were pretty well choreographed and exciting. Danger seems to fade out, letting the adventurers get a little comfortable, and then there comes some kind of beast or other enemy. But what I liked most about these impromptu battles was how they all actually move the plot along. They all do in some way. Most in a big way.
Playing counterpart to the fights and chases, and like many of the more traditional fantasies, this one features fanciful detours into lore, poetry and song. I read most of them, but I must admit I skipped through one of the songs. It was nice that these little offshoots were in italics, easy to identify. I imagine some could be skimmed through, but I wouldn’t recommend doing so for those related to the history of the world; otherwise, you won’t know who or what’s important later in the book when the myths start getting a little less mythical.
Also like many stories in the genre, it has its fair share of words and phrases that I’m sure I butchered, but most weren’t too baffling. There’s a pronunciation guide at the back for those who like to be sure of such things, but I preferred to just wing it. And on the same note, the language starts off a little flowery and formal, as though trying very hard to proclaim, “I am fantasy.” Luckily, it didn’t seem to stay that way. I’m not certain if that’s because I got used to it or because it laid off a bit when the plot got going.
So, overall, I really liked this story. I’d recommend it for folks who like a good, solid traditional fantasy with plenty of adventure, intriguing characters and a well-thought plot. By Trish (I read too much!) on October 19, 2015

Adventurer, wonderer and wanderer, creative thinker and eccentrically unconventional, Julius Bailey tends to tread the peculiar paths. Born to the humidity, tropical sights, and gators of Florida, he lived in the Sunshine State for fourteen years of his life before moving to the rolling hills and red clay of Oklahoma. At the age of twelve he fell in love with a book called ‘The Secrets of Droon: The Hidden Stairs and the Magic Carpet.’ From thence his love of reading bloomed. Having taken a keen interest in the fantastical realms of Fantasy, his jaunts mainly focus thitherward. He currently resides upon a hilltop thronged with hilltops, and avidly welcomes communication from his readers.
