Seventeen-year-old high school transfer student Eve Carson is the genetic cure-all for droolworthy Teluosian alien King, Adam Plain.

As Adam tries to convince Eve he wants her and not just her DNA, Eve discovers a hidden world of interstellar traders, human “genetic cows,” and teen abductions by a government that will do anything to control the Teluosians on Earth.

When Eve’s mom is kidnapped, loyalties are tested. Is Eve Adam’s true love or his next “genetic cow?”

It’s funny how life works out. Here I was, pretty sure I was about to die at the hands of some alien. My mother’s words ran through my head. Love will kill you. I smiled and kissed Adam on his nose. “I’m going to lead them away and you’re going to wait for Bryan. I’m not going to die because you so owe me for that circle thing. And that blonde.”

His eyes widened, and he shook his head. “Go do your best. But promise me something.”

“When and if you think you’ll be caught say my name.”

I looked at him, smiled and nodded. “Don’t worry. If it happens that I think I’m about to die from one of your kind, you can bet your last dollar I’ll be saying this is all your fault.”

His hand reached up and grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and brought my head down. I knew he was going to kiss me. This kiss wasn’t so bad. It was sweet and unexpected. His lips were soft, and before I knew it, it was over. My eyes were still closed, and I just wanted to let the moment last.

But this was like the rest of my life. The really good moments happened right before the really bad ones. So when I opened my eyes I took a little longer to look at Adam. Then I stood up and ran outside to find a way to lead whatever it was away from him.

The Legend of Eve by Toni Edge is a rollercoaster ride of action and suspense.  It’s a paranormal fantasy mixed with thriller and I absolutely loved it!

The characters are mysterious and well written. Eve has never met a person in need that she wouldn’t help. But she is determined to make a better life and get herself and her mother out of the projects. She transfers to a new school that gives her a better chance of success and discovers new friends, new situations and a deep well of courage inside her.

This isn’t a genre that I normally would choose to read. But now that I have I am looking forward to following this series and discovering the secrets that the alien / paranormal race is keeping and how the relationships between the humans and the aliens progress.

I give this book a high recommendation and
