SIMON & ROSE
Mark Anderson’s Story
By V.A. Dold
LeBeau Series HEA
Simon Le Beau desperately wants two things: to help his fellow service veterans and have a baby with his beloved mate, Rose. His experience of being stuck in wolf form has spurred him into action. He has no idea how to start a charity, but he’s determined to figure it out. And his friend, Mark, is just the man to help him.
Rose Le Beau loves her mate, but babies terrify her. What does she know about babies? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Tragically wounded, combat veteran Mark Anderson has a lot of time on his hands. No longer able to serve his country and suffering from PTSD, he’s bored and at his wits end. That is, until his conversation with Simon. What had he been thinking when he offered to be one of the singles auctioned off? A date, he’s okay with. Anything more sends him into a panic attack.
Sharon Lejeune is tired of being set up with losers in the hopes she will find her one true mate. Her intuition is screaming that something big is about to happen. She just didn’t expect that something big to be her mate. Who knew a shifter could purchase a mate at a singles auction?
Will Mark’s insecurities destroy his chance at happiness?
Will Sharon lose her one true mate to PTSD?
Even if she wins her mate’s heart, would he survive the conversion?
Can Simon’s love and desire for a child convince Rose that babies aren’t something to fear?
To the Le Beaus, family is everything. Together, there isn’t much they can’t overcome. Have they finally met a situation they can’t solve?
NOTE: Complete novel. No cliffhanger. Dual POV. This is an adult paranormal romance with erotic content. The series centers on New Orleans Billionaire Wolf Shifters with plus sized BBW for mates. It also includes vampires, voodoo priestess, a Marine, and magic. These are stand-alone books that create a series. They do not need to be read in order. Of course, the story is richer if the books are read in order.
#2.5 Simon & Rose
#4.5 Cade & Anna
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of Simon & Rose: Mark Anderson’s Story by VA Dold for the purpose of an honest review.
It is always a pleasure to read and review a book by VA Dold and Simon & Rose: Mark Anderson’s Story is no exception.
Ms. Vold has once again created a beautiful story of love and mates found forever by introducing us to Mark Anderson and his mate, the beautiful Sharon Lejeune. Only this time our sexy human mate is a former marine suffering from a partial leg amputation and severe PTSD.
I’m amazed with the insight Ms. Vold has into the signs and symptoms of PTSD. The use of a service animal to assist Mark with the panic, flashbacks and nightmares adds a depth to the story that really touch my heart. Rizzo is a wonderful addition to this story.
The need for service animals for America’s veterans is also addressed by the advent of a charity to provide PTSD dogs to those in need, supported by the Le Beau’s. What a beautiful tribute to our service men and women who come home with PTSD so severe it can leave them incapacitated.
Additionally, Simon and Rose have their place in this HEA, but I don’t like to tell another’s news. I’ll let Rose make her announcement, but you’ll have to read this book to find out exactly what it is.
Once again the characters are loveable and well developed and I can’t wait to read the next, but hopefully not the last, book as Ms. Vold teases with brief look at the prologue for book seven in the Le Beau Series, Seth.
I highly recommend Simon & Rose: Mark Anderson’s Story by VA Dold and give it five steaming hot Room With Books coffee.

Prior to becoming a full-time writer, she was a publicist for authors.
Her idea of absolute heaven is a day in the French Quarter with her computer, her coffee mug, and the Brothers, of course. Or a night with a sexy cowboy in the hayloft.
A Midwest native, with her heart lost to Louisiana & Texas. She has a penchant for titillating tales featuring sexy men and strong women. When she’s not writing, she’s probably taking in a movie, reading, or traveling. Oh, and there is the distinct possibility she is out cowboy hunting.
