As life continues on, some things must come to an end. That is the unspoken truth we fear to acknowledge. We’ve journeyed over the course of a moment in time together as my life has taken on new meaning. But happily ever after never did come easy. Come walk with me as the seasons change and I learn to find balance in the presence of life-altering tragedy.
Nannau, you devilish goddess in the heavens, this is really happening, isn’t it? My past fears will be made present as I am forced to face that in which I run from. Will the world stop? Will the other half of my soul break off and turn from me only to leave me dust in the wind in her wake?
I never asked for this; I never wanted this. I have my life planned out to a T. Nowhere on that map were there detours like this. My flesh is not my own. My DNA is sequenced to become something else entirely, something I fear… that I don’t understand. And at the heart of it, my once-spoken truths are proving to be lies as I meet my future head-on.
My brother may be shortsighted on this new development, but I embrace it. I feel as if my destiny is awakening. Mom didn’t do us a favor holding out on us for so long. I wish she had been honest from the beginning. Oh well, it’s time to do this now.

All Josh “Steel” Caplin ever wanted was a little bit of glory…until he was left for dead on the street outside a hospital ER.
The last thing he remembers is being beaten to a pulp at The Underground, the illegal cage fighting ring that’s bad news, but the only place he feels he belongs.
When he finally wakes up, he stares right into the eyes of an angel and for the first time wonders if there’s something more out there for a guy from the wrong side of the tracks.
When Dr. Holly Walsh finds an unconscious man on the street, she stakes her claim over her patient for better or worse. When he finally opens his eyes, she isn’t prepared for how deep that claim is about to run.
They both have pasts they’d rather forget, but together they’re stronger…if only they’re strong enough to fight for each other.
Can a bad boy fighter and a big time surgeon really make things work?
Or when their two words collide, will it be sirens…or sparks?

Ashton Roberts never understood that saying. Heart couldn’t be found anywhere in the rundown bungalow she grew up in. It also couldn’t be found in the luxury estate she moved into when her mother married her stepfather.
All Ashton wants is to get her degree, meet Mr. Right and find the happy stable life she never had. But when life constantly throws her curve balls, she begins to wonder if it really is just a pipe dream.
Until she runs into her former neighbor, Reed Collins.
As a child, Reed had always been Ashton’s silent protector. As an adult, he is everything she has ever dreamed of in a man. If only he didn’t keep her at arms length. But as things heat up, guards drop and secrets are revealed which toss Ash back into the turmoil surrounding a tragic event from her youth.
Will Ashton let her past fracture the perfect picture of her future? Or will the meaning of loyalty, family and love be redefined?
After laying out rugs and putting away towels she began a battle with the packaging for the shower curtain rings. The plastic was sealed on all sides and no amount of tugging or biting at the edges would tear it open. She growled in frustration.
“Uh…Ash?” Reed chuckled from his bedroom. “You okay in there?”
Great. He heard her. “Yeah,” she called out. “I just can’t get this package open. Do you have any scissors?”
Ashton continued her fight then hissed as the plastic edge sliced into her thumb.
Reed appeared in the doorway and held out his hand. “Give it here.”
Happy to get rid of the stupid package, she tossed it to him, then stuck her thumb in her mouth to suck away the sting. As he began to struggle with the container, his eyes lowered to her mouth. They lingered there for a moment before he lifted them to meet her own. “Are you all right?”
She removed her thumb from her mouth and inspected it for any bleeding. “Yeah, I’m fine,” she dismissed, tucking her hand in her back pocket of her jeans as if she could hide the fact she was just sucking her thumb.
Fortunately, her slight embarrassment was short lived. With one last hard tug, the package popped open and shower curtains rings flew everywhere. They ricocheted off of the medicine cabinet, sink and walls before scattering all over the floor and in the bathtub. But it was the one ominous plop which came from behind her that was cause for concern. Reed must have heard it at the same time because he stepped forward just as she turned. A lone chrome shower curtain ring sparkled back at them from the bottom of the toilet.
Ashton swung her head around and locked eyes with Reed in alarm. “Injured,” she called out, thrusting her hand in the air as if she were holding up a free pass.
“Oh yeah?” Reed chuckled and raised a brow.
“Yeah.” She nodded solemnly, cradling her hand to her chest. The small, barely visible slice in her thumb had suddenly and conveniently become a grave situation. “I could contract MRSA or some other nasty infection.”
His eyes flicked down to her hands then back up to meet her gaze. “Well, we wouldn’t want that.”
“No, we wouldn’t,” she agreed, narrowing her eyes as a smile slowly crept across his face. The smile would not have been worrisome had it been a regular smile. No, this smile should have warned her to take a step back. Instead, she got lost in the way it reached his eyes and showed off his white, almost perfectly straight teeth.
“Good thing your other hand is fine,” he pointed out just as he lunged forward to try to grab her wrist.
“No!” She squealed, jumping out of the way.
He laughed and pushed one of his shirt sleeves up. “I’m kidding, Ash. I wouldn’t do that.” Shaking his head, he turned back to the toilet. “I’m going in.”
Ashton watched from the safety of the doorway as Reed swooped in to retrieve the shower curtain ring. He tossed it into the sink then washed it and his hands, going all the way up to his elbows. After he was done, he flicked water at her then grabbed a towel.
Reed’s eyes met hers as he dried his hands. Their laughter died off and silence stretched between them. Eventually, he cleared his throat and averted his gaze to the floor. A crease formed between his brows and she wondered what he could possibly be thinking.
“Ash …,” he began and lifted his eyes back to hers. In that brief moment, Ashton’s heart beat faster and she swore she felt some kind of connection with Reed she had never felt before. She wondered if it was her imagination or simply anticipation for what he was about to say. Most likely, it was a combination of both.
“Jackpot!” Danny announced from the bedroom, shattering the moment. “I found Reed’s spank bank!”
In spite of the horrible timing, Ashton could not help but burst out laughing. Reed groaned and stepped toward where she stood in the doorway. They both looked over to find Danny with a huge grin on his face as he held up a couple copies of some car magazine.
She shook her head and turned back to Reed. “You share a gene pool with that one.”
“Yeah,” he said, running a hand over the back of his head before he looked back over toward his room. “Hey, Danny. Why don’t you go outside, dig a hole, jump into it and bury yourself,” Reed suggested as if it were a great idea.
This only made Danny laugh harder.
“I’m just messing with him, Ash,” Reed murmured in her ear before he stepped passed her.
She knew he had been but her curiosity over what he had been about to say made her reach out to grab his arm to stop him. “Wait, what were you about to say in there,” she asked, inclining her back toward the bathroom.
His eyes shifted from the bathroom over to meet hers. He smiled but it was nothing like the smile he wore only a few minutes earlier. This one was weak at best. “Oh…nothing important,” he said with a shake of his head. Hooking a thumb over his shoulder, he took a step back. “I better get back to this so I have a bed to sleep in tonight.”
“Okay.” Ashton released his arm and watched as he walked back into his room.

Dylan leaned back in his first-class seat with his long legs stretched out in front of him, his headphones in his ears. His eyes were closed, and he slowly became aware of the flight attendant hovering over him, asking if he would like something to drink. Removing one of the ear buds, he gave her a dazzling smile. “No, I’m fine, thank you.”
She returned his smile and moved down the aisle of the plane. Dylan leaned back and looked out the window, putting the bud back in his ear.
He was tired. He had encountered a mob of paparazzi at the airport in New York this morning, and totally lost it with a rude, relentless photographer who kept shoving a camera in his face. Christ, how he hated that shit! He found it ironic that he so loved a career that nurtured that insanity.
Thinking about his purchase of Bradford House, he smiled. He’d fallen in love with North Carolina when visiting a friend on a movie set a few years ago. While he wasn’t crazy about the altitude in the mountains, he found the Piedmont area very beautiful with its rolling foothills. It reminded him of his home in Ireland. He was anxious to see how the renovations were coming along, and even more anxious to know when he would actually be able to move in. It would be a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate between projects.
As he glanced at his watch, Cara flashed through his mind. He wondered what she was doing right now.
Cara. What was it about her he couldn’t get out of his mind? Everything. She intrigued him. She was beautiful and charming. And real.
But there was something fragile about her, something he couldn’t quite put his finger on, and he didn’t want to scare her away. He wanted to know everything about her. On the phone earlier this week, he had been able to coax her to share a bit about herself. He loved her soft, Southern accent, and wanted to listen to her talk for hours on end.
He would move very slowly and cautiously. Somehow, he knew she was not one to be toyed with, and he didn’t want to make any mistakes. There was something between them, a connection. He had experienced the coup de foudre the moment he had turned around from the bar and took her hand, and hoped that he wouldn’t do anything impulsive or stupid to fuck it up.
Even though he sensed a vulnerability in her, he also sensed a hidden sensuality underneath her polished and proper surface. The thought made him shift in his seat, and he realized he had to steer his mind in another direction, now.
His thoughts were interrupted by the Captain’s announcement that they were beginning their descent, and the flight attendant was beside him, asking him to raise his seat back and fasten his seat belt.
He checked the time. Was Cara waiting for him to call? Was she as nervous as he was? It had been a very long time since he’d felt this way about any woman. He actually had butterflies in his stomach, and smiled at the feeling.
This was good, right? He nodded to himself. This was very good.
* * * * *
I am a southern woman, born and bred.
I love the beach, cooking, gardening, sweet tea, cats, good books, music, and warm, sunny weather.
Growing up as a child of blind parents gave me a unique perspective of life. Watching my parents struggle to overcome adversity in order to provide a normal life for me and my brother, I learned the meaning of tenacity, self-reliance, independence, grace, and the true importance of family.
I am a glass-half-full-girl to my very core.
As a young girl, I kept a diary, which led to the habit of keeping a journal and writing short stories. I’ve spent my life writing in my head.
I’ve always had an open book nearby, soaking up the adventures that transport me from my daily life to exotic, exciting locations around the world.
Someday, if someone remembers me as a kind, compassionate, and strong person, I will have lived the life I always wanted.
My name is Alexis Michaels and my life is pretty lonely. Don’t feel sorry for me, I’ve made it that way.
Ten years ago my family did things to lose my trust and stomped all over my love. If I never see any of them again it’ll be too soon. Bitterness and betrayal make me a very angry girl.
Five years ago I made a horrible mistake when I fell in love with the wrong man. I also got pregnant and had the most beautiful baby girl in the world. I’m terrified every day that my actions could come back to haunt me and she’ll have to pay the price.
Now I’m on the set of the first movie I’ll have filmed since I got pregnant. My leading man is a sexy asshole named Ryan Danse. Our chemistry is out of this world. We’re sure to make movie gold. The Australian actor makes me feel things I don’t want to feel. I’ve closed my heart off from the world and I refuse to open it ever again. That only leads to ultimate heartbreak.
Ryan’s connected though, connected to my family. I just know if I open my heart to him, I’ll have to let them in as well. It’s hard to keep myself closed off from him when he looks at me with those intense blue eyes.
Maybe I’m too hard, maybe I’m just a bitch, but forgiving a decade-old hurt I’ve left open, bleeding and infected, isn’t something I’m willing to do just because I love the way his hands feel on my body or the way he calls me green eyes.
I find myself wanting to tell him my secrets. I crave the touch of his hands. I long for his eyes to fall upon me and all that other mushy crap. I’m so obsessed I might do just about anything to have the love of this man.
“Scheming exes, secrets that could destroy and old grudges make for a great Hollywood story. It’s been a while since Ms. Heath released a book and this one is well worth the read!” ~Three Chicks
“This was a hot and sexy storm of these two making a movie and don’t have just on screen chemistry, its off the charts HOT!” ~Swoon Worthy Books

My first novel, This Beautiful Thing was an Amazon best seller for 11 weeks and a year later I’m still tickled to see people enjoy it. I may not be a huge seller but I have the best fans ever and I thank God everyday for every single one of them.

I spin around and come face to chest with a dark blue dress shirt and gray patterned tie. Raising my chin up, and then even farther up, I encounter the underside of a strong jawline. Clean shaven, but dark enough to suggest a razor will be needed again soon, there’s a strong cleft in the chin and I inhale sharply with recognition. It’s him.
Dark, thick hair tops an angular face that I itch to photograph. That bone structure! His warm chocolate eyes are heavy lidded and lazily sexy but the thin silvery scar bisecting his left eyebrow leaves me no doubt that it’s him. He’s my idea of male perfection. Even though he and I have never been introduced, this beautiful stranger has unknowingly played a starring role in many of my fantasies over the past year.
Taking a small step back, I try to give him a normal amount of personal space. What I really want to do is share his personal space.
He smiles, one side pulling up higher than the other, and puts his hand forward. “Hello.” The deep smoothness of his voice makes me forget how to breathe. What the fuck is wrong with me? I don’t get nervous around guys…I make them nervous. I’ve been told that I’m an acquired taste but I’ve always taken it as a compliment. Who wants easy and uncomplicated? That would be boring.
I continue standing in front of him with hands hanging limply at my side and mouth slack. I have to accept that for the first time, I can’t think of a single thing to say.
“Zac!” Logan booms, saving me. “I want you to meet Liv. She’s the one I told you about.” My best friend’s fiancé comes over, standing right next to this god among mortals and looks at me expectantly.
I think I’m supposed to be doing something now. What in the hell am I supposed to be doing?
“Liv?” Charli comes closer and elbows me hard enough to push my fog of lust away a little…a very little.
“Damn,” I breathe out and the guys erupt in laughter. Charli cringes but she knows me well enough that she shouldn’t be surprised. My mom says I was born without the ability to filter my words. My other mom is sure it’s a learned habit I picked up from her. I feel like this is an asset. I don’t bullshit people.
I drag out all the social niceties my poor mom has tried to instill in me. “It’s nice to meet you, Zac” I manage to spit out. For my friend’s sake, I try to appear nice and normal. Hopefully, I’m pulling it off, but when I put my hand out and it disappears into his, I have to keep reminding myself it’s not polite to ask someone you just met if you can see them naked.
There’s a twinkle in the bottomless depths of his eyes and I find myself desperately needing to swallow. “You too, Liv.” He then twists to the side and pulls someone out from behind him. He puts his arm around her. “This is my fiancé, Sabrina.”
Fuck me. Of course, she is.
I pull my best friend out of her chair and drag her off to the ladies’ room. Logan furrows his brow but keeps his seat. He’s used to me hauling Charli away when I need her. They’ve been married for a couple months now but she’s been my best friend for my whole life.
“What’s wrong?” she asks as soon as the door swings shut behind us.
I bend down and look under each stall door to make sure we are alone and then crumple onto the bench in the small sitting area that adjoins the bathroom. “Charli, be honest with me. Is it wrong to be at a wedding and want to fuck the groom?”
“Oh, Liv…” Charli lowers herself beside me and pulls my head over to rest on her shoulder. “I was afraid of this.”
I jerk my head up in shock. “What do you mean, you were afraid of this?” I yell. “You knew and didn’t say anything?” I’m practically shrieking now.
“Shut up! Someone is going to hear you! In case you forgot, there is a wedding reception taking place out there and I doubt you want Zac and Sabrina’s family and friends to realize you’re hot for him!” Only Charli can yell at me in a whispered voice and sound so serious.
“If you suspected, why didn’t you tell me?”
“If you felt like this, why didn’t you tell me?
“Good point. I was embarrassed,” I admit.
“You’re never embarrassed,” she counters.
“Okay, well maybe not embarrassed… but ashamed. I don’t play with things that aren’t mine. I really like Zac. Yes, he’s amazing to look at but he’s also fun to be around. He gets my sense of humor, which probably means he’s a little off, and he isn’t intimidated by me, either. He loves his restaurant and what he does, he adores his brother, and he loves…”
“He loves Sabrina,” Charli finishes.
I bury my face in my hands and groan in frustration. “I know.”
“Yes, damn it. I do. And I can’t even wish that he didn’t love her because then he’d be a douchebag for stringing her along. I want him but if he wanted me too, then that would be awful. I don’t want him to doubt his love for her and I certainly couldn’t want someone that is capable of cheating. I’m completely screwed.”
“Yep, pretty much.” She wraps an arm around my shoulders. “But I still love you. And I know the right guy is out there and when you find him, this won’t even matter anymore. In the meantime, I’m sorry.”
“I can’t even get drunk. I still have to take the rest of the damn wedding pictures.”
Once upon a time, these two hookers became best friends… Stacey Brandon and Karen Bell both live in the same small Texas town on the Gulf Coast, are happily married and the proud Moms of awesome kids. Stacey owns and runs a photography studio and Karen designs and sews her own children’s clothing line. They met over fifteen years ago when they decided to turn one large professional space into a single home for both businesses.
Well, that’s all the boring facts expected to be included in an “about the author” page, right? The reality is so much more fun. Stacey and Karen and their families spend holidays together, travel together… and generally turn every situation into something crazy and chaotic. They are both fluent in English, Sarcasm and Profanity and have decided the irrefutable proof of their best friend status is how often people assume they are “together” when in public. The poor husbands are good sports about it… and might even encourage this misconception at times for sheer entertainment value. When Karen battled cancer… and kicked its ass… in 2014, they learned to value every day and quit worrying about what others think. Do what you love! Karen is happy to take advantage of the situation though. She loves to remind everyone she “had the CANCER, dammit!” and now she can always and forever claim the last brownie. 😉
Gia King and Chase Winchester come together in an explosive romance with one chance encounter at love. College, romance, and two families who were hell bent on being enemies. Can love between these two really transpire or will everyone else have the last say?

I’d love to say I’ve written for 10,000 hours, and that makes me a pro. But I can’t say that. What I can say is I had a story in my head that wouldn’t go away. I thought typing it in my computer would be the end of things, but it only led to another story and another. I love reading, so characters in my head isn’t something new. What is new is my creation of them. Hope you enjoy my favorites as much as I do. Happy reading! MAYRA STATHAM I have always had an addiction to books. Once upon a time I wrote one, but was easily discouraged. Today is a new day and have decided to put my work out there. My first series is called 6 degrees of separation… basing it on the theory where we are all connected, even if at the moment we might now know it, later down the road we see it. The first book of the series is Crown’s Chance at Love. This is Sabrina Miller & Michael Crown’s story. A story about second and sometimes even third chances, because everyone deserves love. Stone Wright is Foreplay’s hottest act. While entertaining at the popular L.A. strip club known for catering to the feminine wild, the fever-inducing Aussie with the sex-saturated accent and moves to match is preparing for the audition of a lifetime on the sensational hit reality show Then Prove You Can Dance.
When retired principal dancer and ballerina Emilie Cartier stumbles into his dressing room, she’s still reeling from the one wrong spin that altered her entire life and obliterated her dreams.
After a humiliating public, albeit meteoric, orgasm—the kind so desperate to escape, it took over her body without her brain’s permission—and a second, more intimate and deliriously deliberate one, Emilie makes a deal with Stone: he helps her get her dancing mojo back and she readies him for his national audition.
But she insists he keeps his wily, wandering hands to himself and his dirty mouth shut. Of course, that’s going to be an extremely hard challenge—one of herculean proportions.
Emilie is not prepared for Stone—the way he spins her mind dizzy, rocks her body into sweet oblivion or dirty dances into her every daydream—and falling in love with him is so definitely not an option.
The closer Stone gets to Emilie, the more he realizes he’d do anything to make her his own. Problem is, he’s a real f*ck-up with relationships. And that means he’s dangerously close to becoming her next major f*ck-up.
What happens when all of the emotional layers—along with the stage props, their dancewear and every last shred of their clothes—are ultimately stripped?
Allie Juliette Mousseau is a USA Today Bestselling Author. She can always be found writing, playing in puddles with her children, hiking with her husband, or adventuring somewhere in the world. Her favorite place to write on warm days is outdoors, but when the weather gets too cold, she’ll be inside at her desk inspired by the mountain view from her home office in Montana where she lives with her loving husband, children, and golden retriever. She loves to travel and lived for three years in her RV with her family while visiting the national parks and forests of the U.S. and a couple Canadian provinces. She is excited to add all of Canada and Alaska in the near future!
