Hunter, Book 2

Guy Erma and the Son of Empire

by Sally Ann Melia

Hunter

Guy Erma and the Son of Empire is a new three-part action adventure, set a long time ago on a planet far far away.

How dare you? How dare you hold me captive?

13-year-old Teodor was taken by the vicious Battle Borgs of Dome and now he must fight to survive within the Dome.

13-year-old Guy Era is offered a chance to fight. Only who will be his opponent? Will he face a Battle Borg of Dome? he knows his entire future depends on this one-on-one fight in the light and shadows of the Dome.

Two boys as different as any two boys might be. They face the same enemy, the same danger, the same fear – dare they trust each other?

Introducing the Battle Borgs of Dome

Once they were heroes. These men died as heroes in battle. Now they are reincarnated as the fearsome vanguard of the Dome Elite. They are the Battle Borgs of Dome. When you fight fearsome aliens who have more advanced technology and are innately cruel to lessor species, how many men must die? What kind of warriors do you need? Men who are not afraid to die. Men who have been tried in battle before. Men who are superhuman with cybernetic limbs and implanted weapons. These are the Battle Borgs of Dome Elite. These dead heroes reincarnated as cyborgs and the front line crack troops of the Dome Elite.

The Dome Elite Authorities accept no responsibility for injury or death of civilians entering into inappropriate contact with the Battle Borgs of Dome.

Lock up your women and children! These Borgs retain human instincts but know not their own fierceness and strength.

Who holds the safe words? Part men part machine, the Battle Borgs are programmed with safe words, words that control them for use by their leaders and lords. Who controls those words, controls the borgs!

BOOK REVIEW

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of Hunter from Sally Ann Melia in exchange for an honest review.

I previously read and reviewed Kidnap, Book 1 of the Guy Ermand and the Son of Empire and this is where it ended . . .

Two boys as different as any two boys might be. One act of cruelty will throw their lives together, but who dare they trust?

Now Hunter picks up where Kidnap left off.

Ms. Melia has written another astounding novel  in Hunter and I found myself recaptured in the YA Sci-Fi Thriller series in the Guy Erma and the Son of Empire. I held back a tear as a mother while thinking of the feelings Sayginn must be feeling while Teodor remains missing. I gritted  my teeth as she raced in the Magnolia Stakes. I wanted to scream my frustration as the Dome Elite commanders responded to Sayginn with sarcasm and derision. I held my breath as Karl listened telepathically and tracked Teodor fro place to place.

Hunter is an excellent sequel with a great deal of imagination for the YA reader as well as more mature audiences and I am very excited about reading the next book, Exile, and reviewing it!

I highly recommend Hunter, Book 2 of Guy Erma and the Son of Empire by Sally Ann Melia. I give Hunter five interstellar cups of Room With Books coffee!

Book Review

It is my pleasure to provide a review of KIDNAP: Book 1 of the Guy Erma and the Some of Empire Series.

I have to sing praises for this fantastic cover. This is actually what attracted me to the book. I’ve often said, and heard by many others, that without an eye-catching cover, you could have written the next New York Time’s best-seller, but it very well could go unnoticed.

I opened KIDNAP and was immediately dropped in to the apparent battle for Mezzatorra and the loss of the poison pills. By the end of the Prologue, I was vowing revenge on Captain Karl’s behalf. I was in for the long haul. The action is very immediate and the story moves very fluidly and I am very glad to hear that this is only book one of three.

I felt an immediate draw to Teodor. I realize birth brings many privileges, but he seemed to be in the hands of puppets. I was feeling quite sorry for Guy for his desire to join the Dome Elite since I saw from the beginning that his dreams would bring him to the dark underworld of the Freyne, something for which he is ill prepared.

Ms. Melia has a great aptitude for writing Sci-Fi and this is a very appealing book that should be well received by a younger YA audience.

I definitely recommend KIDNAP by Sally Ann Melia and give four steaming hot cups of Room With Books coffee to KIDNAP.
