by Lara Henley
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s Tours

You see I belong to an exclusive team that has one specialty, and that specialty is killing. It’s our life’s mission. We were bred from day one to fulfill our destinies, and boy do I love it.”
Trinity didn’t know what she was getting herself into when she took her current job to kill a snitch. She has always loved her job of killing until she was faced with her match. Little does Trinity know that someone has been sent in to stop her.

I remember being only seven years old when I saw my parents torture and kill a man. The scene gave me nightmares for years to come. I tried to push the thoughts out of my mind, but my mother always made me embrace it. Never did I know they were assassins, hired hit men. I remember the first time my mother made me hold a knife to someone’s throat and slice it in half. Yeah, that was my good ole mom for you.
“Trinity, come, darlin’,” my mother says holding a butcher knife in her hand. I didn’t want to go to her because the last time I did, she made me cut off a man’s finger. It was all bloody and gross. She told me the best was yet to come. Little did I know at the time it would be just a few short weeks.
“Please don’t make me do this again, Mommy,” I say.
“Trinity, this is something you will grow to love, I promise you. Now come here.” I walk over to her and she stands behind me. We stand behind the blonde haired woman tied to a chair in our basement. This is where they did most of their torturing for information. My dad had built the room himself, making it sound proof so the neighbors wouldn’t hear the screams my parents inflicted on their victims.
“Take the knife, baby, and slit her throat. Slice it nice and evenly where we don’t have a lot of blood splatter. Remember how we practiced on the chicken.” She held the knife with me and the woman began to kick and scream. I felt a small high. Is this normal, should I be enjoying this?
“See, steady.” We begin to slice and the blood spatter was minimal as she said. The blonde woman’s head tilts forward. I walk around to see her cold lifeless body slumped down in the chair and I smile.
“That wasn’t so bad, Mommy,” I say, holding the knife with blood dripping from my hands.
“I told you it wouldn’t be, darling. Now let’s go get ready for dinner. Your father will be home soon.”
My mother smiled at me like this was completely normal; normal to have your seven year old daughter slicing someone’s throat. My father came home that night and we continued on like we hadn’t created an act of sin in the basement. Again my heart raced at the thoughts of maybe killing again. That is when I knew my life was going to be completely screwed.
The following day was the day I met my best friend in the whole wide world, Teagan. I was standing outside waiting for my dad to get home. It was the best part of the day because my father was my best friend, my only friend. School was a freaking nightmare for me. All the kids made fun of me due to the fact I had a stuttering problem. Kids came be so vile, and so when Teagan showed up on my porch that day, I was delighted to finally have a companion. She stuck up for me at school, and on occasion, kicked bitches asses. She was my constant, the one I counted on to keep me safe, the one person, no matter what, would be there for me.

“I can’t believe you’re fucking real; I dreamt of you, and that’s all you’ve ever been until now—a dream. I lie here, touching every inch of your body, and I know you’re real, but it feels like a dream. I can’t believe how fucking perfect you are, baby; that dream has nothing on the reality of you, Are’,” he says as he kisses down the length of my neck. Am I going to do this? Am I going to give myself to him here on this beach?
“I want you so badly. You’re on my mind every second of every day. I know you want to take things slowly but I have to have you now.” He nibbles down my legs and I’m in pure ecstasy.
“You can have whatever you want, Brandon. I’m yours.” I say barely mumbling the words out. “Take me Brandon, I’m yours.
“Fuck, don’t say stuff like that to me. It’s so fucking hot.”
“Take me, Brandon. You have no idea how long I’ve waited for you.” Wait what? Did I just say that shit to him?
“What do you mean?” he says, huffing as his lips make their way down to my breasts. The anticipation of his lips is setting my insides on fire.
“Look at me for a sec,” I say, lifting his head from my body. I miss him already. “I saw you, Brandon, in a store when we were kids. I never forgot your eyes for one second. You were with, I’m guessing, your mom and you looked at me like you’d known me for years. Like you peered into my soul and I never forgot you. I’ve been waiting for you ever since, and now, here you are.”
“Fuck, were you dressed in some little weird black dress and a white bonnet thing on?” He asks.
“Yeah, that was me.” Shit, I don’t want to get into this tonight.
“I remember you now. I knew I knew you. I remember wondering why you had on that weird dress. I hadn’t seen anything like that. My mom slapped my hand for staring at you for so long. I remember your hazel eyes, Are’. I never forgot them either. Come here, please.” I throw my arms around him and kiss him deep and hard. My tongue makes circles in his mouth and he moans, lighting a fire beneath me. “Hold on, baby. I have some blankets in the car we can use. I want to feel only you and not the sand.” As soon as Brandon lets me go, I immediately miss his warmth. He jogs over to the truck and comes back with three blankets. This is going to be a night that I’ll never forget.

“Come over here and find out.” I walked slowly to him and reached behind him to bring his hands forward. There was a shiny gold key in it.
“I am confused.” He kneeled down on one knee.
“Misty, this is the key to my heart. You have had it since the moment I saw you in that diner. This is also the key to our new apartment. Whenever you are ready you use this key. It’s the key to start our future.” I had no words. I had a huge lump in my throat. He placed the key in my hands. The gold chain dangled between my fingers. It was the sweetest most wonderful thing I had ever encountered.
“Please say something. You are killing me here.” He was still on one knee. I rubbed the key with my thumb as the tears began to form in my eyes.
“I love you, Drake. I don’t want to spend one more moment apart. I want to move in with you as soon as we can.” He jumped up, wrapped his arms around me and lifted me in the air.
“I couldn’t be happier, Misty. I love you so much. Our life is going to be wonderful.” The gleam in his eyes gave me the confidence that it would be.
“Baby, I’m going to give you the world, starting with the beach.” He scooped me up and threw me over his shoulder. I screeched as he slapped my ass.
“I can walk,” I said, kicking my legs.
“I know you can, but tonight I am going to carry you.” The next thing I knew we were on the beach with a table sitting there with wine chilling and two candles. The white and red roses were sitting in the middle. God I loved this man even more.
“When did you have time to set all this up? I didn’t think I could love you more than I did, but I was mistaken. God filled my life when he brought me you.”
“I feel the same way. There was a void, Misty, and you fill it in every way.” He pulled out the seat for me and I sat as he poured us both a glass of Champagne.
“Thank you for everything. I couldn’t be happier. Let’s toast to the future.” I saw a pained look on Drake’s face. I felt a sting on the back of neck. I reached back and felt a liquid substance running down the back of my neck. I pulled my hand forward to my face and saw blood. I instantly felt woozy.
“What’ssss, what’s going on?” I heard Drake scream something, but I couldn’t make out what he said before I passed out on the sand.
