About the Book
A broken man, a woman on the run, a love that won’t be denied.
Single—and very content—real estate developer Aaron Blackman is determined not to become involved in another relationship. He’s experienced enough drama to last a lifetime. The only thing garnering his attention now is his growing business. And he plans to keep it that way. Then Simone Herron waltzes into his life, beautiful and confident. Fighting to keep his promise to himself—to remain single—he soon discovers that when it comes to love, some promises must be broken.
After losing her fiancé in an untimely death, Simone Herron relocates. She desperately needs to put the past behind her and start a new chapter in her life. While love is the farthest thing from her mind, she experiences an attraction to the handsome Aaron Blackman that frightens her. She’s built a wall around her heart, but can she find the strength and courage she needs to welcome love again? To do so, she must conquer her fears and allow God to put all of her broken pieces back together.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of Secret Places Revealed by Paulette Harper in exchange for an honest review.
It was truly a pleasure to read Secret Places Revealed by Paulette Harper. I often have a challenge writing a review when so many other wonderful things have already been written about a book. Secret Places Revealed is no exception!
I absolutely love a book that I don’t want to put down. Secret Places Revealed captured me and I just wanted to keep reading. Ms. Harper is a master of wordcraft. Her words flowed from the pages and allowed my imagination to create the characters and situations so very clearly in my mind!
Ms. Harper’s characters are very well developed. It was very easy to involve myself in their lives. Aaron and Simone are such a beautiful love story but it is written with all the challenges of today.
I am so pleased to recommend Secret Places Revealed by Paulette Harper and give it five cups of steaming hot cups of Reviews by Room With Books coffee.

Lessons on Self-Discovery
by Paulette Harper
Paperback: 34 pages
Publisher: Thy Word Publishing (August 27, 2014)
About The Book
Six year old Nevaeh wants to be something she already is. She will soon learn that her wish to be a princess takes a little more than just asking. Lessons on self-discovery are taught by her Mimi who makes her understand that being a princess takes work.
Amazon paperback: http://amzn.to/1qLN3nP
A precious little girl wants to be a princess and turns to her Mimi to find out how to make this happen. I am especially touched by the assurance at the book’s end that Nevaeh (by the way this is Heaven spelled backwards) is, indeed, already a princess, and has been since the day she was born
My four-year-old granddaughter and I had the most wonderful time reading this sweet little book together and she couldn’t get enough of it, asking me to please read it again and yet again. The illustrations and colors are very princess-like and delighted my senses, as well as those of my granddaughter.
Ms. Harper has a wonderful sense of what a child can relate to and also what they are interested in reading. I love the Christian message that is implied in the story, as well.
I highly recommend Princess Nevaeh for the budding princess in your life!

About The Author
It is my pleasure to welcome Paulette Harper, author of Princess Nevaeh: Lessons on Self-Discovery, to Room With Books.
Paulette, what do you do when you aren’t writing?
When I’m not writing, I’m working. I am self-employed and enjoy the pleasures of working from home. My businesses allow for me to engage with authors as I promote them with my business at Write Now Literary Book Tours. I also enjoy reading, traveling and listening to jazz.
Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult?
Yes. The Bible. I found in my early years growing up that The Bible had answers to every question in life. I found reading The Bible help guide my life and it help me keep focus. I learned that through the studying and applying of the scriptures that God had a purpose for my life and it was up to me to discover it.
Can you tell us about your challenges in getting your first book published?
One of the challenges I had was not knowing if I was going to self-publish or publish through traditional channels. I hadn’t learned too much about publishing when I wrote my first book. I was so excited about writing one that the thought about getting it published finally hit me near the end of writing it (I have learned since then).
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
If I could have a superpower I would choose Danger Warning Power: A precognitive ability warning me of incoming danger. Having this sense would be a boon to everyday life. But when it comes to my superheroing career, it means I’d always have a leg-up on my opponents. No more surprise attacks, no ambushes, I’d always know when the enemy was coming and it would allow me time to create a defense.
What was your first job?
My first job was at Jack in the Box. I believe I was sixteen. I learned early how to be responsible and save money.
What types of books do you write and who is your target audience?
I write Christian Fiction, non-fiction and children books. When writing Christian Fiction my audience are those readers who like plots, twists and turns, oh yeah plenty of drama. My non-fiction audience consists of those who want to be inspired, empowered and challenged spiritually. And my children books reach anyone who has a childlike heart.
Out of all of your characters, which is your favorite?
In my Christian Fiction book, Living Separate Lives, I created a character named Jordan. Jordan was humble, yet strong. She was quite and possessed inner peace. When she was faced with some sort of challenge in life she didn’t allow her emotions to control her response.
What does your writing schedule look like?
I try to write daily. Either I’m working on a book project or/and writing articles. I don’t have a particular hour or place that I write.
Do you use your OWN experiences?
Yes. I do. For both my fiction and non-fiction books. My experiences are some of my best stories.
Was it easy to pick the title for your book?
Yes. My latest book Princess Nevaeh: Lessons on Self-Discovery, was very easy to pick. My oldest granddaughter’s name is Nevaeh. She inspired me to write this book especially for her.
What profession you would choose if you were not an author?
If I was not an author, I’d like to be a Psychologist. The majority of psychologists are involved in some kind of therapeutic role, practicing in clinical, counseling, or school settings. Many do scientific research on a wide range of topics related to mental processes and behavior.
What are you currently working on?
Currently I’m working on another children’s book and a Christmas novella.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Black walnut
Night owl, or early bird? Early bird
Roller Coasters or Water Rides? Water rides
Swimming in the ocean or a pool? Floating in pool
Walking or fitness club? Walking
Any last words?

Living Separate Lives
by Paulette Harper
Genre: Christian Fiction, Novella
Publisher: Thy Word Publishing (November 10, 2013)
Hosted by: WLN Book Tours: http://wnlbooktours.com/
Candace Walker, Kaylan Smith, Jordan Tate, and Tiffany Thomas have their share of sorrows, but neither of them realizes how deep the sorrow goes. What happens when they agree to meet for a weekend of relaxation in beautiful Napa County? Which one will leave the same or worse?
For Candace Walker, life has left her battered and bruised. Kaylan Smith has struggled with prejudice from her in-laws. After fifteen years of marriage, bitterness is trying to raise its ugly head for Jordan Tate, whose husband wants to call it quits. And for Tiffany Thomas, dealing with rejection has never been one of her greatest feats.
Although they have been friends for years, they thought they knew each other well. But will a secret destroy their relationship and bring the sisterhood to a complete halt? Will they be able to forgive and allow God to mend that which might be torn?
Unfaithfulness, dishonesty, shame . . .
The lessons learned from this beautifully written novella, Living Separate Lives, by Paulette Harper, are lessons I struggle to live in my own life.
Love and forgiveness are the lessons taught by my Savior, Jesus Christ, and are lessons I read about every day. They are the lessons that are taught from the pulpit of the church I attend and by the pastor I admire.
To be able to live a life love and forgiveness is shown so eloquently by the characters in Paulette Harper’s, Living Separate Lives.
