The Gangster’s Woman Book Tour
The Gangster’s Woman
by Ginger Ring
Love is a Dangerous Thing, Book 2
Genre: Historical Romance
Now that prohibition was over, FBI agent Michael Flynn hoped to enjoy the quiet life and a chance to finally concentrate on finding his best friend’s sister. He’d been in love with her since he first laid eyes on her picture. Unfortunately, the more he searched the more he realized she wasn’t just missing. Eryn was hiding from one of the most notorious gangsters around. One who wouldn’t rest until he knew she was dead.
Eryn O’Malley had been moving around for years, doing whatever legal, or illegal job she could find to survive. No time for romance or a normal life. A one night stand with a handsome man at the county fair seemed like just the ticket to escape for a moment from her troubled life. However, finding out he was a G-man wasn’t part of the plan. Now he was on her trail. Whether to arrest or rescue her, she wasn’t sure, and she couldn’t wait around to find out. If he caught her, would he forgive her checkered past or would he always think of her as the gangster’s woman?

It is my pleasure to welcome Ginger Ring, author of The Gangster’s Woman, Book 2 of the Love is a Dangerous Thing Trilogy, to Room With Books.
Thank you for having me.
What do you do when you are not writing?
When I am not writing, I am reading! I am a huge book worm.
Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult?
I grew up reading LaVyrle Spencer books. I loved that she wrote both historical and contemporary. Her characters always had such depth to them that you couldn’t help but cheer them on. Ashes in the Wind by Kathleen Woodiwiss was the first romance book I ever read so I was hooked from then on.
Can you tell us about your challenges in getting your first book published?
I was very lucky to have a mentor/writer who took me under her wing and really taught me a lot. She introduced me to her editor at Wild Rose Press and I was thrilled to have my first book accepted by them. That said, there is still so much to learn. The biggest challenge I think comes after. With so many books out there it is really hard to get noticed when you are a new writer and no one is familiar with your work.
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
We are having a drought here right now so being able to control the weather would be nice. I could make it rain when the farmers needed it and then keep the rain away from special events.
What was your first job?
I grew up on a farm so doing farm chores was probably my first. Other than that, I worked mostly in retail and I was even a waitress for a brief time.
Out of all of your characters, which is your favorite? Why?
I really enjoyed writing Eryn O’Malley. She is a strong character. Eryn has been through a lot but still has a kind heart and big dreams.
What does your writing schedule look like?
Unfortunately, it is pretty much limited to the weekends so that time is short especially in the summer. I don’t like to sit inside on the nice days but sometimes I have to.
Do you use your own experiences?
Yes, but I am also a history lover. I like to take legends and stories that I hear from the past and give them a modern twist.
Was it easy to pick the title for your book?
Yes, I don’t seem to have too much trouble coming up with titles. This one is part of a trilogy so they are pretty similar.
If you could pick one profession other than author, what would it be? Why does it appeal to you?
I would be in tourism in a historic town. Sharing my love for history and a town’s past would be a fun thing for me to do.
What are you currently working on?
I am part of a paranormal collection which should be out early summer. I am also working on the final story of the Love is a Dangerous Thing trilogy. It takes place in Vegas and is titled The Gangster’s Hand.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Mint chocolate chip
Night owl, or early bird? I wish I was an early bird but I tend to be a night owl.
Coffee or tea? Coffee
Roller Coasters or Water Rides? Water rides.
Swimming in the ocean or a pool? I can’t swim so a pool would be safer.
Walking or fitness club? Walking
Any last words?
Writing and publishing a book was something that I dreamed about as a teenager. It took me awhile to rediscover that dream but it’s never too late to accomplish it. Thank you for hosting me today. I hope you all will enjoy the Gangster’s Woman.
Thank you for joining me for this brief interview and for allowing Room With Books to be part of your tour!
